Training of clan leaders on GBV prevention in Bukedea District
The clan leaders and community activists participate in the referral web exercise during the training on GBV prevention in Kabarwa Sub County on 11th / Oct / 2021. This exercise was used to outline the different responsibilities relevant authorities to develop referral pathways and provide services. From the discussion with the clan leaders, it was clearly understood that unclear referrals can be intimidating and confusing to the survivors and may discourage them from reporting incidences, adding that this is not only TRUE for GBV survivors but also to those who are exposed to other forms of harm. It was conclusively agreed that any referral procedure should be simple, accessible, confidential, and respectful.
