Community meeting on communal land management in Namosing Parish
Communication from LEMU and purpose of the meeting. The LEMU staff thanked the community for turning up today and that today is when we shall come up with our rules that will be binding for the protection of our grazing land. At the end I will take you through the few sections of other people’s constitutions and you will either accept or refuse other parts that you think don’t make sense to you people.
Permitted activities within the grazing land
- Graze animals in the communal land according to seasons accepted by the elders
- Grazing of animals in the grazing land was allowed
- Put temporal settlements while taking care of the animals and after migration destroy
