Karen Lilian Naluyimbazi Atamba is a seasoned finance executive and board-level advisor with over a decade of experience in corporate finance, strategic planning, and organizational transformation across East Africa. She currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at Biyinzika Poultry International Limited, one of Uganda’s leading agribusinesses, where she oversees finance, treasury, performance management, and enterprise systems.

Karen has led large-scale digital transformation initiatives, including ERP implementations, Power BI analytics, and business process automation, strengthening financial governance, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making across local and cross-border operations.
Passionate about building resilient institutions, she champions strong financial controls, transparent reporting, and people development. Beyond her corporate role, Karen actively supports entrepreneurship, SME growth, and nonprofit initiatives focused on land equity and community empowerment, contributing strategic oversight in governance and sustainability.
She brings a practical, results-oriented leadership style to every board engagement, combining technical depth with a strong commitment to inclusive development and lasting social impact.

Richard is an accomplished development expert with 25years working in the development/NGO sector, driving innovative and cutting-age development projects in Africa and Middle East. Richard currently works at Oxfam Denmark as the Regional Programme Manager for the Horn, East and Southern Africa and MENA Regions where he leads a multidisciplinary team of professionals delivering high impact education programmes through effective and efficient grant making mechanisms in 23 countries. Richard is highly skilled and experienced in project cycle management, risk management, grants management and fundraising. Previously, Richard worked at ActionAid Uganda where he oversaw the expansion of ActionAid programmes across the country and establishment and naturing of sustainable partnerships and networks in ways that drove tangible and positive changes by strengthening the leadership and governance structures of implementing partners. Richard is Known for his contagious enthusiasm and stakeholder-focused leadership. His extensive international travel has further enriched his perspective, enabling him to lead culturally diverse teams to success, inspiring them to embrace innovative approaches to tackle social and development challenges, and drive meaningful, lasting change. Richard holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce (B’Com), Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management (PGDPPM), Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Management Studies (MMS). He is also a Globally certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) As a champion of strategic and transformative leadership, Richard brings a future-focused mindset and boardroom acumen to help LEMU thrive in a challenging and rapidly evolving world.
